For nearly 30 years Matthew J. Simon has advised domestic and foreign family offices, real estate developers, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals on complex real estate and corporate transactions. His expertise includes real estate and corporate credit facilities, development projects, acquisitions and dispositions of real property, leases, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and corporate structuring.
Matthew has been instrumental in negotiating and drafting agreements for multimillion-dollar domestic and global transactions, including the negotiation of credit facilities on behalf of corporate and real estate clients up to $200 million; high-profile real estate joint venture in NYC Meatpacking District; the initial financing of The Setai in Miami Beach; and negotiation of the sale of a leasehold interest in a major municipal airport to an industrial real estate developer. Mr. Simon was the co-founding and co-managing partner of Simon, Eisenberg & Baum, LLP (now Eisenberg & Baum, LLP) and was associated with Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. and Windels Marx, LLP.
Matthew earned his J.D. from St. John’s University of Law, where he served as the editor of the New York International Law Review, and holds a B.S. from Brooklyn College.

His extensive expertise encompasses a wide range of areas within real estate and corporate law, including real estate and corporate credit facilities, development projects, acquisitions and dispositions of real property, leases, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, and private placements.
Throughout his career, Matthew has been instrumental in negotiating and drafting agreements for multimillion-dollar transactions, such as the acquisition and redevelopment of a $75 million resort hotel in Antigua and the development of a $250 million oil and gas storage facility in The Bahamas. In addition to his role as Principal, Simon held key positions at reputable law firms such as Offit Kurman, P.A., Romer Debbas, LLP, and Simon, Eisenberg & Baum, LLP (now Eisenberg & Baum, LLP).
Matthew earned his J.D. from St. John’s University of Law, where he served as the editor of the New York International Law Review, and holds a B.S. from Brooklyn College.
